#TakeMeHomeTuesday - Itty Bitty Kitty available pet update!

Hey Everyone,

I have some news about Itty Bitty Kitty! They are no longer using the Petco on Tighlman Street in Allentown, but you can still visit Quakertown or inquire online.  If everything works out, (keep your fingers crossed) there will be a true shelter by the end of the month! If you would like to donate, please click on the link below:

https://www.youcaring.com/nonprofits/help-itty-bitty-kitty-get-a-shelter-/300732

The following cats are still available for adoption:

Roland is a friendly and beautiful orange tabby! Handsome, laid back, friendly, he's the kitty man of your dreams. Ginger cats are super lovable! I mean that face and those markings! He'll be the love of your life!

Braxton is a cutie! He's a sweet little kitten that needs your love and affection! Those ears and that face! He's friendly, outgoing, and super sweet. He'll be good for any family or multiple kitty household!

Geisha (who is actually a male) is another young cutie! He was recently brought in, and needs lots of attention! If you're adopting young kittens, it's best to get two at a time!

Just click on one of their names above if you want to adopt them!

#TakeMeHomeTuesday: Glitter and London are available, and foster homes are needed!

Hi Everyone, it's Tuesday, and that means it's rescue highlight day, and I have two cats from Itty Bitty Kitty that are available right now!  I love showing you available animals. Seeing these guys go to a good home makes me so happy!

This week I want to introduce you to Glitter and London.

Glitter is an adorable tortoise shell kitty. She's super sweet and friendly. Her coat really does look like glitter when the light hits it. She's also young, a little over a year old, so she'll be a part of your family for a long time.

Glitter doing what she does best, lounging in a cat tree.
I mean really, look at that face and those markings! I have a soft spot for this particular color pattern, and their personality really matches their unique coloring. She does really well with adults (children are not her thing), and can be alone or with other kitties.

London purrs like a fiend! He's dog like, and loves to be close to people. He's very laid back and super friendly.

He's camera shy, so he closes his eyes when you try to take a picture. He's between 1-2 years old and is super fuzzy and soft. He does well with people and pets.

If you're interested in adopting either of these kitties, please go to the IBK website and fill out an application. If you're willing to foster kittens or volunteer in some way, please click on this link  for more information. We desperately need people to take in a litter. They are usually adopted very quickly, so it isn't a long term thing (unless you want to keep the whole bunch!)

#TakeMeHomeTuesday - you know you want to adopt a kitty!

Hi Everyone, I'm back with more available kitties from Itty Bitty Kitty. If you are interested in adopting, donating, or volunteering, click on the link above!

Cinnamon and Pumpkin were adopted and returned to our care because they were too playful. Look at these guys, they're fun! They're young! They're kitties!
Cinnamon
Pumpkin
Cats with this coloration are lovely and very friendly. These guys need love and toys! They are goofballs and enjoy being companions. The adoption fee for each individual cat would be $50, but if you adopt them together, it's only $75! Consider taking them home together! They'll be a great addition to your home.

The next cat is Scout.
Scout

He's a floofy tuxedo kitty. He's likey a Maine Coon,  which is a very cuddly and loving breed, but they need to be brushed daily so they don't get matted. This guy was rescued from a kill shelter and he needs your love! He's regal and friendly!

Let me know if you have any questions!

#TakeMeHomeTuesday - Great news, and more awesome kitties available for adoption!

Hey everyone, I have great news. It looks like Itty Bitty Kitty may be getting a shelter shortly! This means we won't have to operate out of pet stores any longer, and we'll be able to rescue more animals!

This week we have three darling cats to highlight.

The first available cat is Timber.

It's he a cutie pie? He's laid back and super sweet, and would be a great addition to a home with another cat.  He is a kitten, so he will need extra attention and play time to let go of his energy.*

The next available cat is Shelby.

She is a goofy ball of energy! She loves attention and playing. She was rescued with Timber, but is not a litter mate. She does well with cats, families, and just about anyone. Again, she is high energy, so she will need to be played with to be sure that she doesn't destroy anything.*

* In case you haven't had one, kittens are known to climb curtains and play with everything. They also love you to bits and stick to you like glue once you bond, because you become their guardian. It's a lifetime bond - they can live for 20+ years, to be aware of this when adopting. Also, have teething toys (usually made of fabric) available, and a soft fuzzy blanket. The blanket keeps them warm, and toy gives them something to comfort them if they're uncomfortable. (My youngest cat still gnaws on my fingers while kneading a blanket and sitting in my lap- it's her way of telling me she loves me.)

The third kitty has been featured before. It's Benny!!

Benny is a lover boy. He wants to be held and petted and loved. He really enjoys other cats, and actually wanted to visit with the kittens in the cage above him. He will be your best buddy and likely cuddle with you if you're sitting down. He's also a big goofball, and likes to talk. I walk over to his cage and he mumbles in cat speak the entire time I'm cleaning and playing.

As always, follow the link at the top if you're interested in adopting any of the available cats. I post photos of them at the shelter site on Tuesdays on my instagram account, so feel free to ask any questions here or there.

#TakeMeHomeTuesday: Please meet Star and Benny

Hi everyone! I'm back again with two more rescue cats to highlight from Itty Bitty Kitty!

The first cat is Benny.

He's adorable. This picture doesn't do him justice!
He's a young stripy cat. He's totally adorable and ridiculous. When I walked over to his cage to initially meet him, I found him flopped over and kneading the air. I knew I was in trouble. I opened the door and picked him up, and he proceeded to climb up on my shoulders and onto my head, purring and kneading the whole time. He eventually flopped over into my arms, where patrons walked over to pet this amazingly docile cat. He remained in my lap for a good half hour, ignoring all of the dogs walking through with their guardians. He's a love bug and needs a good home.

Benny!

I mean look at him - he's a big bigger now, but he's a silly boy!

Next is Star
This is her favorite position.

No, seriously.
Ok, maybe this is.

Just look at her!
Look into my eyes. You're feeling sleepy. I can make you cluck.

But seriously, Star is super sweet, sedate, and adorable. She's a gorgeous furball, and she needs a loving home. She just wants to flop and be petted. In fact, you may see her stay in the same spot all day soaking up the sun. That's just the kind of laid back kitty you'll get if you adopt her.

If you're interest in having a pet highlighted, contact me! I would love to work with your shelter!

#TakeMeHomeTuesday - Meet Bingo and Bongo!

Hi everyone! I wanted to introduce you to two kitties from Itty Bitty Kitty Rescue.

Please meet Bingo and Bongo, two shy but loving girls that were recently returned to us. These lovely girls lost the person who adopted them originally in 2010, so they're dealing with loss as well as shyness. All they need is a bit of love and affection.

I mean look at these girls!
Bingo and Bongo
They're lovely black kitties! Who doesn't want a pretty black kitty??

Bingo

These lovely girls need to be adopted together, since they're very attached.
